You are invited to attend:
“Building Great-Looking Usable Apps: Applying Oracle’s Best UX Design Practices in ADF”
A 2-day workshop building apps with Oracle’s user experience design patterns, ADF and ADF Mobile
To excel as an Oracle ADF developer, you need to know more than the properties and behaviors of components and task flows and go beyond code. Knowledge of user experience (UX) fundamentals, applications user expectations, and realizing user experience design patterns and guidelines when developing enables you to take Oracle ADF applications to a higher quality user experience. Oracle uses ADF to develop the new generation of enterprise applications, Oracle Fusion Applications. We’ve researched and proven usability best practices to guide developers in building apps that deliver on business requirements and provide end-user satisfaction. Oracle is investing heavily in communicating the lessons learned from building Oracle Fusion Applications and we would like to share our experience with you. This workshop will teach you more about building your own apps and custom pages with ADF, leveraging the expertise Oracle garnered in developing Oracle Fusion Applications. We’ll focus on building applications and integrations using enterprise methodologies; on apps that are optimized for devices using cloud-based data that integrate task completion seamlessly at a new level of user experience for today’s enterprise users.
To emphasize the importance of understanding UI fundamentals, UX design patterns and guidelines, Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN) is formally extending the ADF Partner Specialization to include a new UX Specialist role so that development teams will have the user experience (UX) expertise required to use Oracle ADF even more effectively. This workshop will prepare you to take the OPN UX Specialist Assessment so your business can comply with the new competency requirement necessary to be an Oracle ADF-specialized partner.
Oracle Applications User Experience Team (Apps UX)
Oracle Application Development Framework Team (ADF)
Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN)
This is intended for the intermediate-level and above Oracle ADF developer (it is not suitable for a novice developer). We assume that you have either passed the Oracle Application Development Framework 11g Essentials certification exam or that you are pursuing that certification. The exam is primarily intended for implementation consultants who are skilled in implementing solutions based on Oracle Fusion Middleware technologies with a focus on using Oracle ADF and Oracle JDeveloper. The exam targets the intermediate-level to advanced-level implementation team member.
What You Will Learn
What a user experience design pattern is and what the key design principles behind enterprise usability are.
How to browse and use desktop and mobile user experiece design patterns to assemble a design prior to building with Oracle JDeveloper.
Why and how to wireframe desktop and mobile application designs prior to coding
Transitioning from wireframe to code with hands on-exercises for Oracle ADF and an instructor led-example for Oracle ADF Mobile.
You will learn to leverage the Oracle Applications User Experience design patterns as building blocks for applications development, and to apply the best-practices learned from building Oracle Fusion Applications with these patterns. This workshop will enable attendees to build modern and visually compelling applications that look and behave like Oracle Fusion Applications, and that can co-exist with partner integrations and other new or existing applications deployment strategies. We are excited about this unique collaboration at Oracle, and we are just as excited to hear your feedback.
