Orange eliminará el roaming en España y otros países europeos este año

El roaming desaparecerá en España, Francia, Polonia, Bélgica, Rumania, Eslovaqua y Luxemburgo, pero sólo para los clientes que gasten más de 30 euros al mes.
Buenas noticias para los usuarios de Orange que viajen al extranjero. Concretamente a Francia, Polonia, Bélgica, Rumania, Eslovaquia y Luxemburgo. Estos seis países europeos, junto con España, serán los primeros en beneficiarse de la eliminación de las tarifas de roaming de Orange, anunciada hoy por la telefónica francesa.

Orange ha explicado que acabará con los recargos tarifarios por el uso del móvil en el extranjero a lo largo de 2014 en siete de los países europeos en los que opera, aunque no ha dado plazos concretos para este plan.


Sin embargo, la iniciativa beneficiará sólo a los clientes premium de Orange: la eliminación del roaming se efectuará únicamente en los planes de tarifas de más de 30 euros al mes, según ha informado Expansión.

Por otro lado, Orange también ha anunciado el inicio de la oferta de 4G en roaming para sus clientes franceses. Estos podrán usar servicios de cuarta generación móvil cuando viajen a Reino Unido, Portugal y Corea del Sur a partir de febrero. Más adelante, esta opción se extenderá a los abonados de España, Reino Unido, Rumania, Portugal y Moldavia, donde ya está realizando los trabajos técnicos necesariso para su implantación.

La compañía gala ha señalado que los servicios de 4G en itinerancia  estarán disponibles a finales de 2014 en todos los países europeos en los que opera, así como en otros destinos fuera de Europa en los que Orange está presente.

El presidente y consejero delegado de Orange, Stéphane Richard, manifestó que la compañía que preside es sensible a la opinión de los clientes que no quieren preocuparse por el precio extra de usar el teléfono móvil en el extranjero. Una medida que va en la línea de las exigencias de la Unión Europea, cuya comisaria de Telecomunicaciones, Neelie Kroes, propuso en septiembre eliminar el roaming a partir de julio de este año y antes de 2016.

Kellyn Pot'Vin is an Oracle ACE Director, Oak Table Member and Sr. Technical Specialist. She specializes in environment optimization tuning and creating systems that are robust and enterprise level. Kellyn works almost exclusively on mult-TB size databases, including Exadata and solid state disk solutions and is known for her extensive work with both the Enterprise Manager 12c and its command line interface. She is the co-author on a number of technical books, hosts webinars for ODTUG, OTN and All Things Oracle and has presented at Oracle Open World, HotSos, Collaborate, KSCOPE, along with numerous other US and European conferences. Kellyn is a strong advocate for Women in Technology, (WIT) citing education on topics regarding stereotypes and presenting opportunities early as the path to overcoming challenges.
Kellyn lives in Westminster, CO, which is northwest of Denver and near the beautiful Rocky Mountains. She lives with her partner, Tim Gorman (also an ACE Director) and is the proud mother of three children, Samuel, Caitlyn and Joshua. Her dog, DaVinci, a Jack Russel/Bull Terrier mix, can often be seen in her photos when she's capturing her adventures on telecommuting. She enjoys bike riding, yoga, knitting, painting and reading when she's not furthering the advancement for Women in Technology, the Rocky Mtn. Oracle User Group community and the DBA Kevlar brand on social media.
