Oracle Blogs: Additional EBS on Oracle Cloud Automation Capabilities
We're pleased to be able to
share some good news just in time for Collaborate!
Building on the release
earlier in March, we have just added support to our provisioning and lift and
shift automation both for further release combinations and also for the Exadata
Cloud Service.
To take advantage of the new
capabilities, you need to obtain the updated EBS Cloud Admin Tool that is
included with the latest Provisioning Tools image in Oracle Marketplace.
New
Multi-Node Provisioning Capabilities
Our enhanced automation
features include the capability to provision a new installation of:- Oracle
E-Business Suite Release 12.1.3
- Oracle
E-Business Suite (Release 12.2 or 12.1.3), with the Oracle E-Business
Suite Database on Exadata Cloud Service
Detailed instructions can be found in the Oracle by Example
tutorial Provisioning
a New Multi-Node Oracle E-Business Suite Installation in Oracle Cloud Using the
EBS Cloud Admin Tool.
New
Cloning Capabilities
As described in our earlier article, cloning occurs in two
linked stages:
- Back
up your on-premises EBS installation to Oracle Storage Cloud Service
- Provision
your desired topology on Oracle Cloud
The following tables show which combinations of Oracle E-Business Suite releases, Oracle Database releases, and Oracle Cloud services are currently supported by the cloning automation.
Detailed cloning instructions can be found in the Oracle by Example tutorial Cloning Oracle E-Business Suite from On-Premises to Oracle Cloud Using EBS Cloud Tools.
The best place to start reading about what is possible, and to help you choose the right solution for your specific needs, is always Getting Started with Oracle E-Business Suite on Oracle Cloud.
