Mandriva Pulse2 1.4.2 release With this new release (Pulse2 1.4.2) Mandriva has added specific new features that extend the capabilities of its professional solution as well as an important number of bug fixes. Pulse now offers enhanced inventory features from PXE and the ability to update the inventory fields directly from Pulse, the journaling of VNC accesses, new and specific menus for Wake-on-Lan capability and the integration of antivirus notifications. This new version of Pulse2 is the first one to be available on Debian Wheezy (Debian 7) and is now fully localized in German. An ISO image is available in order to test Pulse2. New video tutorials for Pulse2 These short videos show Pulse 2 in action performing several tasks from the simplest packages creation and deployment to advanced imaging features. These videos are on DailyMotion and freely shareable: package creation agents install clients registration packages deployment and several more. Advanced technologies in the cloud: the Aeolus Project Mandriva is one of the major stakeholders ofthe Aeolus Project, a French research initiative on cloud innovation. Involving several leading universities as well as Mandriva, the project aims at solving complex technological issues surrounding cloud deployment and management. As such its concrete objectives is to develop not just advanced theories but actual technologies . In this video you will see two distinct technologies developed by the Aeolus project: Zephyrus and the Aeolus Deployment Engine. The video shows how to deploy several instances of WordPress in the cloud using OpenStack, Mandriva Business Server and the Aeolus project technologies.
