Oracle and the Oracle Technology Network (OTN) are home to the largest developer community in the world. Database developers are a core audience within this community and are an ongoing area of investment and growth for Oracle. As such, we are seeking a community driven, data focused, and entrepreneurial individual to lead our database developer community.
Focusing on audience-specific channels, the role of the Database Community Manager is highly collaborative among internal lines of business and requires excellent communication skills, enterprise IT marketing experience, and social media best practices. Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:
The ideal candidate will understand how to drive and measure community growth engagement with both traditional and social media technologies.

This position is located at Oracle Headquarters in Redwood Shores CA and reports to the head of OTN. Candidates outside this area may be considered but must be able to travel to Redwood Shores regularly.
Travel Component: Minimal (more travel may be required if chosen candidate is not based in SF Bay Area)
As part of Oracle’s employment process candidates will be required to complete a pre-employment screening process, prior to an offer being made. This will involve identity and employment verification, salary verification, professional references, education verification and professional qualifications and memberships (if applicable).

Team Description
We are a team of community driven marketing professionals who manage the Oracle Technology Network (OTN) which supports the broadest technical portfolio of any software and hardware company. The team leverage both traditional and social media to create a rich environment for our community to connect with each other and meet their business goals. We have a matrix team structure with audience leads supported by shared service groups including an event team, advocate programs team, and a community infrastructure team.
Position Description

Database developers are a core audience within this community and are an ongoing area of investment and growth for Oracle. As such, we are seeking a community driven, data focused, and entrepreneurial individual to lead our database developer community.
Focusing on audience-specific channels, the role of the Database Community Manager is highly collaborative among internal lines of business and requires excellent communication skills, enterprise IT marketing experience, and social media best practices. Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:
- Execute tactics of audience-specific content strategy
- Follow audience-specific social editorial calendar as set by Editorial Board
- Orchestrate and administer social Editorial Board meetings, ensuring collaboration from all lines of business
- Publish social edit content to Facebook, Google+, Twitter, LinkedIn, and other properties, in collaboration with Editorial Board
- Actively administer and participate in all properties every day:
- Answer/refer questions
- Engage in dialog
- Follow-up on and acknowledge all comments
- Resolve all issues
- Answer/resolve/refer all Facebook Direct Messages
- Deliver a consistent audience-specific experience for all communities by following social voice guidelines by adhering to brand attributes and values
- Identify, synchronize and cross-share with other Oracle social properties
- Assess content performance via metrics; adjust edit tactics accordingly
- Suggest new social content opportunities to increase community/engagement
- Collaborate with advertising to drive social ad strategy
- Listen to and respond to community content needs/requests

Experiencia y aptitudes deseadas
- Preferred Qualifications
- 3-5 years experience as a digital and social media marketer creating digital promotional plans including "hands on" tactical experience
- 4-6 years experience in marketing, public relations, SEO, journalism, communications or related field
- 4-6 years experience in enterprise technology; familiarity with enterprise IT trends, topics, issues, innovations; comfortable with IT vocabulary, glossary, acronyms; strong interest in enterprise IT
- Ability to work effectively cross-functionally
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously
- Proven track record of driving engagement within an online community
- Knowledge and passion for the changing digital marketing landscape
- Results oriented, creative person who initiates forward thinking ideas to drive engagement
- Impeccable attention to detail
- Excellent written, communication, research, and organizational skills
- Strong initiative with ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Undergraduate degree
- Being an active blogger is a plus
