Thanks for attending
the call yesterday. For those who where not able to attend please review the
notes since we are very close to Oracle Open World and let me know if you have
doubts. The contribution of all groups is a key success factor for our Latin America
Groups! withingthe global user groups
community.
1. We will have 4 rooms available on
Tuesday and Wednesday, for the last session in OOW (6PM). 2 for Tech and 2 for
Apps in each day. JUG’s will not participate, since Javaone will extend after
this time.
Apps Sessions
i. LatingOAUG will be responsible for one
session (Ariel)
ii. ASUOC will be responsible for one session
(Giovanna will talk to Alpina or Carvajal
iii. ORAUG will be responsible for two
sessions
Tech Sessions
i. Eduardo Hahn (LAOUC) will coordinate with
all LAD Tech UG the distribution of sessions
2. Sponsorship
forPostcards
Last year we had a last
minute sponsorship from one Apps ISV. This year groups will search for regional
partners (tech/apps) like Deloitte, IT-Convergence, Quanam, Stefanini, etc.).
Ariel will be in charge.
Marina will get a quote
for the confection of the postcards. Last year cost was R$ 2.600,00
3. Stand Position
Marina will check with
Marketing the localization of the UG stand so groups can start to promote it
with their associates.
4. Website in Spanish
Unfortunately the
official website is available only in Portuguese and English. Marina will check
if there is an e-blast in Spanish about Open World.
5. Information about
the USER GROUP FORUM sessions will be available in OOW website.
Marina will check on
how to include the list of all UG in the website, as it was done in OOW San
Francisco.
6. Template for
requesting free pass for OOW-LAD has already been sent. Don’t forget to request
the pass for your group and indicate who will represent your group.

Feedback on OOW-SF
Reinaldo shared that
the presence of the LAOUC groups was very successful and many contacts were
made. He will share photos and contacts with the group. Thanks for all who
participated there and congratulations
New groups in the
region
Ronald shared that we
have 2 new groups were created Guatemala and Honduras. The leaders of those two
groups are very welcome and are already invited for the next call on November
8th.
